Position: Junior Engineer (Civil)
Location: M&D, Punjab (Multiple Sites)
Reports To: Resident Engineer / Chief Resident Engineer
Job Summary
The Junior Engineer (Civil) will assist in supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. The role includes monitoring site progress, coordinating with contractors, and supporting the Resident Engineer in the successful execution of canal and irrigation works.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor contractor performance and project progress.
- Assist in quantity measurements and verification of completed work.
- Review construction materials and ensure QA/QC compliance.
- Coordinate with contractors, survey teams, and laboratory staff.
- Maintain daily site records and prepare progress reports.
- Report technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and site safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc./B.E. in Civil Engineering.
- Valid PEC registration.
- 5 years with B.Sc of relevant experience in construction supervision of canal, irrigation, water resources, or infrastructure projects.
- 2 Year with M.Sc of relevant experience in construction supervision of canal, irrigation, water resources, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with government or consultancy projects will be preferred.
