Position: Chief Resident Engineer (CRE)
Location: Pat Feeder Canal Project, Balochistan
Reports To: Project Director
Job Summary
The Chief Resident Engineer (CRE) will lead and supervise all construction activities for the Pat Feeder Canal Project, ensuring compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. The CRE will act as the Engineer's Representative and coordinate with the Client, Contractor, and relevant stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the site supervision team.
- Supervise canal rehabilitation, remodeling, hydraulic structures, and associated civil works.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and FIDIC contract conditions.
- Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and schedule.
- Review and certify contractors' work, IPCs, variations, and EOT claims.
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering guidance.
- Coordinate with the Client, Contractor, and government authorities.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc./B.E. in Civil Engineering (M.Sc. preferred).
- Valid PEC registration.
- Minimum 18–20 years of experience in construction supervision of canal, irrigation, barrage, or water resources projects.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, QA/QC, construction supervision, and project management.
